Farming here since 1871 the 6th generation of Grabhams run this family farm. With over 325 acres Peter, along with his family, manage a herd of Longhorn cattle alongside a herd of Limousin X which are supplied to various butcher counters.
The Longhorns are, by nature, very slow growing majestic animals with a docile temperament which produces succulent and tender meat with a taste that has awarded it Best Steak in Britain by Country Life.
Unlike some breeds the Longhorn cattles’ meat marbling is produced without gaining fat producing a lean taste sensation.
Feeding the cattle on grass throughout the summer, the Grabhams produce their own winter forage ensuring complete sustainability across the farm and full control on traceability.
Supplying many locals the Grabhams ensure their meat is hung for a minimum of 3 weeks ensuring the best possible taste.
Peter takes pride in delivering the meat fresh to your door. Although a next day courier service is available by request. The product is also available from the local Halberton Farm Shop and selected West Country Butchers Lloyd Maunder.
